MEDICAL APPOINTMENT AND RAIN GETS IN WAY OF BIKE RIDE

Hospital and Fitness Center in Background
As lame as two miles is, I at least recorded some mileage this afternoon to keep the streak alive and well.

Today was my 44th day cycling, with most of the mileage recorded on the road bike and a smattering amount on the gym’s stationary bike.

This morning’s planned bike ride was washed out by a long line of rain showers coming up from the Caribbean. Midday was way too hot and sunny, so I had planned on at least ten miles on the stationary bike after a follow-up medical appointment located in the hospital’s complex. Our fitness and rehab center is connected with the hospital.

Anyway, like most medical appointments, waiting for an empty room is typical, and that was certainly the case today – eliminating any possibility of a longer bike ride.

Tomorrow is another day, so the wife and I have scheduled a medium-distance bike ride in the park beginning early tomorrow morning. The weather forecast is for clear skies.
