This training walk to and from the fitness center was simply “Ducky,” even though it was done in heat that would melt steal.
My wife swore that we were walking faster than a 15:46 overall pace, so next time we speed-walk we plan on using three different Garmin devices – a Forerunner 205, a Forerunner 305, and the Forerunner 110 that we used today. What the heck, I may even throw my Garmin Edge 500 into one of the back pockets of my Race Ready running shorts.
Accurate timing to me is critical because I have future plans that necessitate walking under a 16 minute-per-mile pace.
It’s my goal and I’m sticking to it!
